Comparative Politics: Theory & Practice
This course examined major theories and methods of comparative politics, focusing on divergent political systems. Some political systems discussed included Democracies, Authoritarianism, and Totalitarianism.
CPO 3055
Authoritarian Politics
This course explored the collapse of various democracies and the rise of authoritarianism. The breakdown of authoritarian regimes was also analyzed, along with the processes of promoting democracy and its challenges.
EVR 1001
Introduction to Environmental Science & Sustainability
This course emphasized scientific knowledge in a global context about the environment including nutrient cycling, pollution, desertification, climate change, energy, water resources, biodiversity loss.
INR 3081
Contemporary International Problems
This course took an interdisciplinary approach to examining global and regional issues. Due to the 2020 Presidential Cycle and the COVID-19 pandemic, the course placed a special emphasis on the issues of public health and national security.
PAD 3800
Managing Global Cities
This course provided an introduction to the principles of urban governance and how these methods are used to manage specific development problems of global cities. The cities examined included New York City (United States), London (United Kingdom), Paris (France), Tokyo (Japan), and Beijing (China).

Religion: Analysis and Interpretation
This course introduced methods of critical reflection on religion and some of their applications to fundamental topics such as knowledge, value, the sacred, the individual, and human society.
